PROFILE

Robert Wickham is a seasoned executive with extensive expertise in leading technology-based businesses. He is skilled in building go-to-market teams, strategic planning, operational management, and delivering results. Robert’s career spans leadership roles at Salesforce and Oracle, as well as foundational experiences in management consulting and entrepreneurship.

As the former General Manager of Tableau Asia Pacific, a Salesforce business unit, Robert spearheaded significant growth initiatives. Earlier in his career at Salesforce, Robert served as Chief of Staff for Asia Pacific and led specialized teams in Platform & Emerging Technologies, which included pivotal technologies such as the Lightning Platform and Einstein Analytics. He also drove the launch of Salesforce’s $50M Australian venture fund and its regional program for startups.

Before joining Salesforce, Robert led Oracle’s Engineered Systems business across Australia & New Zealand, and the System Management business in North America. He joined Oracle through its acquisition of Empirix Web Division (a Boston-based technology start-up) where he ran sales for North America. Earlier in his career he was a co-founder of the low-cost London-based airline Go Fly Limited, which was later acquired by easyJet. Robert began his career as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

He is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), holding both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, and he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. His commitment to MIT is long-standing, having served in many alumni leadership roles, and was honored with the MIT Bronze Beaver Award for his distinguished service. Presently, he is the immediate past President of the MIT Alumni Association and a member of the MIT Board of Trustees. He is also an inaugural member of the Fatima College Hall of Fame.

Robert is a recognized public speaker and has contributed to Sky News and Bloomberg Radio, as well as publications such as Boss Magazine. Robert is happily married with two adult children. His personal interests include squash, golf, and cricket, with a notable early achievement of playing for the record-breaking Trinidad & Tobago under-19 cricket team, captained by his classmate Brian Lara.
